It is necessary to use the HUM Oil Screening Tank to reduce the sediment ratio in the oil to a certain level before it is sent to the decanter or metallic filter to filter the pre-existing sediment.
The screen allows the residue to be removed from the oil by means of specially profiled stainless steel wedge wire screens and thrown out.
These specially profiled wire screens are placed above the oil level and fixed. The residue, which accumulates in the bottom of the prismatic oil tank, is collected on the screen with pellet scrapers.

FEATURES
WEDGE WIRE SCREEN
Wedge wire screen applications provide an optimum screen area due to the thin geometry and small head width. Due to the large profile heights, the profiled wires have a particularly high rigidity and therefore a long service life. The cone of the profile provides a little transresistance, which at the same time prevents large blockage. For these reasons and for many years of experience, we would like to emphasize that screens are particularly suitable for applying sedimented oil filtration. Wire screens are made of stainless steel, different wire profiles and different wire spacings can be used for different requirements.
CONVENIENT LAYOUT
In some embodiments, the inlet, oil outlet, overflow, gear motor unit and channel positions can be changed to match the mill location. For operator’s safety, the tanks are supplied fully enclosed to protect the quality of the oil and prevent the spread of vapors.
TROUBLE-FREE OPERATION
With self-cleaning wedge screen, the oil drains efficiently and there is no need to clean screen regularly. A small number of moving parts, simple proven chain and scraper design guarantees trouble-free operation. Larger tanks have longer drainage times to allow for larger amounts of sediment.
EASY MAINTENANCE
The tanks were designed from the beginning to provide good access for maintenance. Depending on the location of the mill, a man hole is placed in a convenient position.
STURDY DESIGN
The scraper system is equipped with features such as a double spring chain tensioning system to make the chain last longer.
RESIDUE DISCHARGE CONVEYOR
A screw press section with a stainless wire screen is placed on the residue discharge conveyor to recover the oil remaining in the residue at a higher rate.
